Phi Sigma Phi Meeting Minutes
February 11th, 2007
President: Rush is a huge priority along with fraternity fundraising.
Vice President:
Treasurer: Dues will be raised this semester. Talk to treasurer asap if you feel you will have a shortage of money
Corresponding Secretary: Thanks to Tri Sigmas for there Valentines day cards, and for everyone who made it to the composite photo shoot.
Recording Secretary: Sending minutes to Info man to be put on website and passed on the treasurer information to Steve “Milty” Williams
Advisor: n/a
Sergeant: All mandatory attendance is going to be enforced and is necessary for the fraternity to function.
Education: Rush is very important this semester
IFC: Doing “Miles for Quarters” with police department. Having a presidents meeting for Greek Week activities. People are being nominated for IFC positions and elections are coming up.
Social: Ideas for alcohol free activity
Athletic: n/a
Historian: Book is being made and there is a need for drill bits and pictures.
Philanthropy: Events in discussion. Gamma Sigs and us might be going to Ronald McDonald house in Rochester??
Publicity: Rush flyers are distributed throughout the dorms for future interested people. Display cases are already all reserved
Brotherhood: Skiing, bowling, poker, paintball are some options??
SSA: Wally is now a senator. Congrats!!
Fundraising: Spaghetti dinner is set up for April 3rd at Menomonie Senior Center 4-8 for brothers to work and the actual dinner is from 5 to 7. Advertising and new ideas are in discussion.
Rush: Cook out Thursday (5:30 new guys need to be at the house) New guys are important and we would love to incorporate a bunch this semester.
Info Man: Gary has the website and a new picture needs to be taken. Wear Sweatshirt to the next meeting. Minutes should be posted after the meeting.
Homecoming/ Greek Week: Would prefer to keep greek week competitive and during parents week if at all possible.
Alumni: Not a lot for alumni this week.
House Manager: House isn’t full yet for next year.
Formal: Ike Walton (two cabins rented out for eboard) for spring.
Scholarship: 4th floor Wednesday 4 - 6 p.m. (speak to Floss with questions). Stout foundation scholarship application is due February the 15th.
Risk Management: Self control is a must.
Librarian: Need information to file for the use of the fraternity.
Pride Award: Dan Bunker and Luscious
